Old-Fashioned Chicken and Noodles

Okay so I already have a slow cooker chicken and noodles listed, but this one is a bit different and to be honest my favorite chicken and noodle recipe.


1 pkg frozen egg noodles, 24 ounce (I use Reames Homestyle Egg Noodles)
2 can(s)cream of chicken soup, 14.7 oz each
1/2 cup or 1 stick butter cut into eight slices
1 – 32oz box of Kroger Chicken broth
4 good sized boneless chicken breasts
black pepper
2 TBSP Flour
1/2 package frozen peas and carrots. (optional)


Place your chicken breasts in the bottom of your crock pot
Season with black pepper
Pour in your two cans of cream of chicken soup
Add your pats of butter – just scatter them around
pour in your chicken broth
Cook on low for eight hours. (I actually leave mine on while I am at work all day which, with drive time, is longer. That’s fine. Not necessary, but fine)
Stir in your flour and add the noodle and veggies (if using).
Turn your crock pot up to high and cook for an additional hour.
