No wonder people eat out so often. It’s tough to come up with creative things to make for dinner. Plus – you know us. We are creatures of habit. That said, I do what I can to come up with new things that I can make after I get home from work while still having dinner on the table (a.k.a. island) at a reasonable hour . This week has been declared Greek Week at the homestead. As always the meal plan is directly related to what Kroger had on sale this week – ribeyes. I bought four. Two were for dinner on Saturday, which of course was grilling day. The other two were grilled and put on reserve for Monday’s meal – GYROS! I know. I know. A real gyro would have lamb, but lamb freaks my husband out so I made steak gyros.
The key to the gyros was homemade, fantastically garlicky Tzatziki sauce. Yum!
