Ugh. I hate the spring time change. When I was 26, I hated it because it meant you had to get up earlier. Now I don’t care about that. What I do care about is that when you finally get to the point where the sun is up by 7 AM, it’s suddenly dark again in the morning. I know at this time of year we’re quickly gaining daylight each day, but seriously. What is the purpose of this time change? Do we need it to be light outside at 9:30 PM in June? President’s keep saying they’re going to do away with this. I hope they do, and this is the one they get rid of.
It seems like this horrible winter may finally be over (knock on wood). All the houses on our street have been built. Looks like they’re just finishing up the interior on a few. It will be very exciting when everyone whose home was built in the winter has sod and landscaping and we cannot wait to work on our own landscaping this year, especially around the creek and patio. I have a list! (Of course I do).
We’re still hanging in there on the healthy eating and slowly losing weight. Hopefully once the weather is nice and we are doing more things outdoors that will speed up, but we’re doing well. I just finished book 3 of The Empyrean series. JDub is on book 2. I am now reading Crowns of Nyaxia, which I would describe as a sort of Thone of Glass, but with vampires. I don’t usually lean toward vampire books, but this is pretty good.
It is almost opening day in baseball. Go Reds! Opening day is a big deal in Cincy. It’s like a holiday. We’ve gotten to watch a couple spring training games and if they stay healthy, they could be good. Fingers crossed. Elly De La Cruz is so amazing. It makes me sad to think he’ll be a Dodger some day when the Reds can’t afford to pay him. S & I are planning to attend a game in May and then walk to Jeff Ruby’s after. I mean, you can’t beat that. Yum.
XOXO
