INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 stick butter, cold, chopped into approximately 1/4 inch pieces
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup corn syrup
- 2 tbs butter, melted
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chunks (or chips)
- 2 cups pecans
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Lightly spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick cooking spray or line with parchment
- In a food processor combine flour, butter and brown sugar until a dough becomes crumbly and starts to stick together. (butter must be cold)
- Gently press into pan
- Bake for 13 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and set aside
- Mix together eggs, corn syrup, white sugar and vanilla
- Stir in melted butter, followed by pecans and chocolate chunks
- Pour mixture onto crust layer. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes or until browned and set
- Cool for at least an hour before cutting
