Thanks Santa!

Wow! Temps near or over 60 degrees every day since the 23rd. Amazing! I can’t begin to tell you how happy this mild weather and sunshine has made me on our vacation. It’s no secret I hate winter. Who doesn’t? Nuts who like to ski and snowboard, maybe? While I am certainly not a fan of snow, ice and cold, the thing that REALLY bothers me is the lack of sunlight. In the summer I am easily up and about by 6:30 on the weekends. This time of year I am much more likely to stay in bed until 8:00 AM.

S and I have been walk/jogging together every morning. He definitely pushes me to do more than I would on my own. I weighed myself this morning and I am proud to report that I have officially met and surpassed my 2019 goal. I feel proud. Proud of myself, and proud of S. We have actually entered two 5Ks in the spring.

Tomorrow is Christmas at my mom’s. Last week we had Christmas with S’s family. I can’t wait to see TDub open gifts at my mom’s. He’s at that age where he gets what’s going on and is super excited. It’s fun to watch. Big props to J&N Dub because the kid is also just so sweet. He isn’t selfish or aggressive. He is so well-behaved. It’s impressive.

Christmas with GG was great. The kids had fun. They’re such good boys. I sound like such a granny saying that, but it’s true. I love everything I got. JDub got me a new bookshelf which I desperately needed. She also got me a framed copy of Everlong lyrics which is in my “library”. The perfect addition! S seemed to like all of his stuff, including a hummingbird feeder because living in the almost country has made us realize we like feeding and watching the critters.

It’s cold again, but at least there’s not snow. I’m heading to Austin next week. Hopefully it will be warm there. January begins the long haul. No vacation days for a long time, but then… then in June we’ve booked a family vacation to Corolla. Can’t wait!

That’s all for now. XOXO
