Tuesday is election day. I think it will be another close one, but it’s hard to tell. S & I have a three day weekend this week for no particular reason other than to take a small break and use a vacation day. The weather has been nice this week. We actually had a couple days at or near 80 and ever tomorrow is supposed to be 76. I’ll take it as long as I can get it!

The house is looking good. We’re hanging our last two curtains today. We now have our barstools for the island and both cars parked in the garage. Both cars in the garage by November was a goal of mine because it meant we had things put away and organized, etc.

The Bengals are still mediocre which is very sad. I expected a lot more this year. Today they are playing the Raiders. The Raiders aren’t good and if the Bengals were the Bengals, they would crush them. That said, I am not confident. They’re 3-5 and while some of their losses are very close, their 3 wins are all against really bad teams.

I stopped being a huge OSU supporter after living in Columbus for so many years because, well… it’s a lot. If you’ve ever lived there, you know what I mean. Anyway, I still like the Buckeyes and they had a big win yesterday and look to be a real contender. The Dodgers just won the World Series which is just gross. Baseball is so frustrating. To put it i perspective the Dodgers payroll for 2024 was close to 300 million dollars while the Reds were at 103 million.

Since it’s fall, I’ve been making some more stews and soups. I happened upon a recipe that has completely changed how I think about chili. It is without a doubt the best chili I’ve ever had. I put my own spin on it. Check it out under the Soups and Stews page.

I always try to write things that make you remember about what was going on at a particular time so I will add this. TDub was Spiderman for Halloween. He struck a Spiderman pose on top of the counter and scared the crap out of LDub. (caught on video). On Halloween in New York there was a flash mob that dance to Thriller down Sixth Avenue. Great video on You tube. Highly recommend.

The hottest song of 2024 by far was A Bar Song (Tipsy) by Shaboozy. It was not only the number one song in country music for 15 weeks, but also the number one song on Billboard where it has been for 28 weeks. It was also number one in Canada, Australia, Iceland, Estonia and Ireland. You get the picture.
