Have I mentioned how much I love Game of Thrones? I just finished watching the series for the umpteenth time. I’m sad that 2019 brings the last season. Although I can’t wait to see it! In my opinion, it’s one of the rare cases where the television show is an improvement on the books. The first couple of books are excellent. The third is still very good, but they go downhill from there. Martin adds so many useless characters that add nothing but more pages to already long books. My office currently includes a framed copy of the Night Watch’s oath.

“Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory… etc, etc…”

My favorite character is Arya Stark. She’s a bad ass. I hope she makes it to the end, but I don’t think she will. I have a t-shirt that says “A Girl Has No Name”. During that season of GoT, I was doing a lot of traveling with work. I would always wear that shirt in the airport and I ALWAYS had people comment on it. LOL! And even though she’s evil, I truly appreciate the work of Lena Heady who plays Cersei Lannister. She’s soooo good. I even enjoy watching her facial expressions. Aiden Gillan who plays Petyr Baelish is also fantastic. Classic…
